Welcome to Rentro. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Rentro platform, including our website, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”).
By accessing or using Rentro, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the Platform.
1. Overview of Rentro #
Rentro is a digital marketplace that connects property owners (“Hosts”) with individuals seeking short-term or long-term accommodations (“Guests”). Rentro facilitates listings, bookings, and payments but is not the owner or operator of listed properties.
2. Eligibility #
To use Rentro, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
3. Account Responsibilities #
Users agree to:
- Provide truthful, up-to-date information
- Maintain account security
- Accept responsibility for all activities under their account
Rentro reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. Bookings and Payments #
4.1 Booking Process #
Guests can browse, select, and book properties listed on Rentro. A booking is confirmed once payment is successfully processed.
4.2 Payments #
- All payments must be made through the Rentro Platform
- Prices are set by Hosts and may include applicable fees and taxes
- Rentro may charge service fees for facilitating transactions
4.3 Cancellations & Refunds #
Cancellation policies vary by listing. Guests should review each property’s policy before booking.
5. Host Responsibilities #
Hosts agree to:
- Provide accurate property descriptions and images
- Ensure properties meet safety and quality standards
- Honor confirmed bookings
- Comply with all applicable local laws and regulations
Rentro may remove listings that fail to meet platform standards.
6. Guest Responsibilities #
Guests agree to:
- Respect property rules set by Hosts
- Use properties responsibly and lawfully
- Avoid damage, misuse, or disturbance
Guests may be held liable for damages caused during their stay.
7. Platform Use #
You agree not to:
- Use Rentro for unlawful or fraudulent activities
- Interfere with platform functionality or security
- Circumvent booking or payment systems
Rentro reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate action against violations.
8. Intellectual Property #
All content on the Platform—including branding, design, text, graphics, and software—is owned by Rentro or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify any content without prior written consent.
9. Disclaimers #
- Rentro does not guarantee the accuracy of listings
- Rentro is not responsible for the conduct of Hosts or Guests
- The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind
10. Limitation of Liability #
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rentro shall not be liable for:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Losses arising from user interactions or property stays
- Service interruptions or technical issues
11. Termination #
Rentro may suspend or terminate access to the Platform at any time if users violate these Terms or engage in harmful behavior.
Users may also delete their accounts at any time.
12. Privacy #
Your use of Rentro is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your data.
13. Changes to Terms #
Rentro may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law #
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Nigeria.
